The counsellor values and respects the diverse experiences, strengths, and needs of each individual. They tailor action-oriented tools to support clients’ meaning-making processes through a strength-based, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach.
Utilizing a combination of structured therapeutic techniques like Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, as well as holistic approaches such as EMDR, somatic therapy, and tapping, the counsellor offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic modalities. Additionally, they incorporate music, art, and play therapy techniques to facilitate emotional expression and understanding.
With a background in Therapy and Child and Youth Care and Counselling, the counsellor’s expertise spans neurodiversity, childhood trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
Registered Clinical Counselling services can be covered by Autism Funding as well as some insurances. When using insurance, the client will be required to pay upfront and then submit their invoice to their insurance company.
We provide services for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers (1-18). Each therapy program is tailored to meet the specific needs of your child’s age and developmental stage.
